Two separate programs — join one, the other, or both in sequence. Both are partly funded by Medicare under the Better Access scheme.
Group sessions attract a Medicare rebate and draw from a separate annual allocation to your individual sessions — so you can keep seeing your existing psychologist or GP alongside either program.
Which program is right for you?
Not sure which one suits you? A simple rule: if you are still figuring out whether ADHD explains your experiences, start with Program 1. If you already have a diagnosis and are ready to build practical skills, Program 2 is for you. You can also do both — in order.
Before joining either group, you will have a one-on-one session (~50 min) with one of our registered or clinical psychologists. This lets us understand your situation, make sure the program is a good fit, and meet our Medicare obligations. It is billed separately under your individual Medicare entitlement — it does not draw from your group session allocation. If you have a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan with individual sessions remaining, this appointment has a gap fee of approximately $150.
"I want to understand what might be going on for me and what my options are."
A structured psychoeducation group for people exploring whether ADHD may explain their experiences. You will build a clearer picture of how attention, executive function, mood, and anxiety interact — and leave with a better understanding of what your next steps might look like.
"I know I have ADHD. I want practical tools that actually work for my brain."
A skills-based group program grounded in cognitive-behavioural therapy for ADHD. Every session builds a practical skill you can use immediately — tested in-session and then trialled in your own life before the next week.
Want the full journey?
Program 1 graduates who want to continue move directly into Program 2. You already know the group, you understand your profile, and you start the skills work with a head start.
Understanding Medicare
Both programs attract Medicare rebates under the Better Access scheme, making structured ADHD support significantly more affordable than equivalent individual therapy. A full program costs considerably less than seeing a psychologist one-on-one for the same number of sessions.
Under Medicare Better Access, group therapy sessions draw from a completely separate annual allocation to your individual sessions. Joining either program does not reduce your individual psychology rebates. You can continue seeing your own psychologist, GP, or psychiatrist alongside the program without any change to your existing entitlements.
